As folks here are well aware, I’m a fan of concept albums. Everything from Exodus to Bismarck scratches my historical itch, so you can imagine my amusement at finding out there’s an album for time travel / paradox movies. The happiness quotient went up even more when I found out there’s a song inspired by The Final Countdown. As a kid, I remember when our local ABC affiliate showed this as the late night movie. Despite seeing it probably a dozen times, I hoped every time there would be a different ending. One that involved A-6 Intruders introducing the Akagi to Walleyes. Of course, never happened. Once more, the movie gods would disappoint me as the credits rolled. Then the national anthem played and the channel went to snow. So, in honor of elementary age me and my movie habits:
